Wild Roses is a collection of poems and prose dedicated to the original women of the planet Earth. This book is for everyone who loves and respects original women. They are the “Mothers of Civilization” and without them there would be no you or me.

Wild Roses takes you on a journey through the depths of genuine love. The love that the author has for the original woman is undeniable. This book is the perfect gift for your grandmother, mother, aunt, spouse, sister, daughter, niece, cousin or friend. They will enjoy it and love you for it.

Wild Roses is also the aphrodisiac of poetry and prose, so hold on to your seats and ride with me.

From “The Boss Lady” to “The Librarian,” from “The Jacuzzi” to sexy fun with “Pop Rocks,” the delectable chapters of Saturated prove that Poetic Artillery has lived and loved it all. In the author’s own words, this book contains “A plethora of real-life stories formed into a collage of a gangsta’s explicitly erotic episodes.”

Saturated was crafted with ADULT WOMEN ONLY in mind, for their reading pleasure.

ENJOY.

The poems of author James D. Richards, inspired by true life events, reveal his deep appreciation for beauty, remarkable capacity for self introspection, and painful regret over choices made and opportunities lost. “Upon awaiting redemption, I often reminisce; these are the words and thoughts that come to mind …

“She loved me once./Once she loved me./Her eyes were open but could not see,/She loved me once she belonged to me./I did not love her back or even treat her right./ Once she loved me, she did not love me twice.”

“It starts with death…” Raised in a home with no TV, where Smurfs were demonic, Transformers were “the embodiment of lies,” and knowledge was a sin, author Kethan Lee Anderson learned about death every week in church, but had only a limited glimpse of life. He becomes intimately familiar with death on his life’s journey, disillusioned by the agonizing loss of precious pets and friends whose lives ended too soon.

Abandoned on the family farm without a vehicle, he is given all the responsibility for its care, with no transportation or support to do so. Eventually, the author says, “I just wanted to walk away from the good person that I thought I was and be something terrible for a change.” Part introspective confessional, part wrenching memoir, The Disciple of Death is a fascinating journey of one man’s path from protector of life to instrument of death.

Whiteboy is the only white member of the D-Boyz, a Black and Hispanic street gang in the Fields Corner section of Boston’s Dorchester district. To be accepted, he must prove to O.G. Big Turk that he has what it takes to be a D-Boy of the Dorchester Boyz Organization.

Whiteboy starts from the bottom of the D-Boyz totem pole, fighting his way up through gang wars and betrayals, to get the respect of his fellow comrades and the neighborhood of Fields Corner.

Will Whiteboy climb his way to the very top, or tumble to an early grave—taking the D-Boyz with him?

If you work in a prison or jail, Confidence Men and Their Masquerades: Ten Things You Should Know About the American Inmate will help you protect your job, your reputation, and ultimately your freedom from the cons employed by the American Inmate.

In Living Grimey to Survive author Evan Lee McNair brings us three short novels written in a brash style that’s as real as it gets. His characters are so true-to-life that some readers may feel they’ve already met them—and others may hope they never do. The writing is rough, raw, for those who like their urban fiction to reflect the real voices of life on the streets, where every day is a fight for survival.

Living Is Hard Dying Is Easy shows that whether you’re inside prison or out on the streets, dying is the easy part of life. The Good Die Young Grimey Niggas Live Longer reveals that even when it comes to family, blood may be thicker than water but bullets are are the lifeblood of the grimey life. I’m a Survivor carries through this theme as love gives way to betrayal, and betrayal becomes the only ticket to survival. The three novels of Living Grimey to Survive spin hardcore urban fiction at its realest, grittiest and definitely at its “grimeyest.”

In Stonyford Submission by Bennie Ray Murdock, the northern California town of Stonyford is under the influence of a mysterious entity. Every resident in and around the region appears to have submitted to its will. Most affected is a girl named Margaret, whose body was invaded by the unknown force. When Margaret witnesses the brutal murder of her younger sister Wanda by an invisible attacker, she feels responsible, and most of the residents of Stonyford agree. Traumatized and hospitalized, Margaret cannot understand why her own family does not believe that she is not alone in her own body.

Decades later, an investigative reporter interviews Margaret, seeking to uncover the source of the unexplained deaths in Stonyford. Murdock and his team find there are more questions than answers. What strange creature did a group of teenagers see when they partied in the nearby hills? What was the role of the old man who traveled the region with his vicious cobra? And most important of all, can the Stonyford Submission be stopped?

Good Morning, Amerika is a self-help book designed to teach you how to think logically and stop letting mistakes hold you back. Author Kevin Clark sees America as a beautiful country, but one whose promise seems unachievable for far too many people. Clark has spent most of his life swimming upstream against the currents of a society determined to hold him underwater. The stories inside are real and raw. The mistakes he made landed him in prison, but experience and determination taught him how to value and respect himself.

Filled with specific actions you can take to better your life and become a leader, Clark’s book offers this glimpse into his struggle in the mean streets as a new direction for those swimming upstream as he was.“I've experienced a lot of things in my life,” the author says, “and being able to share the experience with you, Amerika, is a blessing.” Clark envisions a society where all God’s children, regardless of skin color or bank balance, can forge the life they want. He calls our country “Amerika” to emphasize that we are all one, created equal. With this book, he offers insight to the lives of all his fellow Amerikans.

Rez Boy Inc.: A Redemption Story by Michael J. Crow is based on a true story. Life on the Rez didn’t offer a lot of hope to Aidan Wells, a young Sioux man. Dealing drugs seemed like a reasonable option. But all reason goes out of Aidan’s life when four of his friends die from a heroin overdose caused by Aidan’s uncut stash.

Full of guilt, and bitter at the years he will now spend in prison, Aidan feels irredeemable. But not to his cellblock neighbor, Dave, a born-again Christian. Dave’s friendship begins to pierce the fog of shame that surrounds Aidan, as he teaches the young man about forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Through his reading of the Bible and growing understanding of God’s love, Aidan finds the redemption he so desperately seeks and touches the lives of others in ways he could never have imagined before his acceptance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Patrice Weber is a New Orleans, Louisiana native who looks more like a “Housewife of Atlanta” than an inmate. While serving a thirty-six-month sentence at the Tallahassee, FL federal prison she began turning her life around in positive ways.  The Courage to Soar Behind Bars: Collected Stories from Women in Prison grew out of Patrice’s belief that if she wanted to make a difference in the lives of people she had to be the difference. She compiled this collection of stories, including her own, to show how struggles of the past can be turned into stepping stones into a brighter future.

The Courage to Soar Behind Bars presents the personal stories of fifteen women, written in their own voices from behind the walls of the Tallahassee Federal Correctional Institution. Each woman’s story is accompanied by a color photograph of the author. These are women who would not yield to misfortune. Women who would not give up or give in. Women with the courage to soar behind bars.

Robert Clark has spent all but the first thirteen years of his life in prison. Robert was thirteen years old when he stood before a judge on a charge of vandalism in 1968. He was sentenced to a term of four months in the State Training School for Troubled Youth in Kearney, Nebraska. Little did he know that he would never be free again…

This is the story of a scared kid, drawn deeper and deeper into the pit of incarceration and violence, until there was no way out. This is the story of a youth who, at the age of fourteen, was too young to be placed in the general population of the Nebraska State Penitentiary, so was instead put in solitary confinement until he turned sixteen.

This is the true story of Robert Clark, told in his own words, written inside a Maximum Security Prison.
